A Gentle Hand

Flowers are delicate and I wanted to emulate the gentleness of holding them in a vase. I used a speckled clay to give the hand imperfections (like all humans have). During the first firing a few cosmetic cracks appeared I decided to accentuate the cracks and add to the beauty of it by using a stain wash in black before glaze firing with a satin white glaze. The result is better than I'd hoped for.
